Her quick brown eyes – full of hidden mystery and the coldness of a hunting lioness – catch even the slightest movement with a calculative chill that tends to drive people away from her. Her body – though not overly curvy – is tall and lean, with thick bundles of muscle from long days of training and late nights closing in on her kill. A perpetual smirk seems to lift her lips, hidden behind a smile that could light the night sky. Her eyes have a slightly exotic roundness to them, complementing her strong cheek bones and long face.
Pale scars mar the girl’s otherwise perfectly smooth skin. Needle marks shame the insides of her arms, proving true her long painful nights in the lab as a test subject.
.Personal Character Information.
Personality -- [I’m going to try something a little different, I’m not sure if it’s acceptable or not, but if not I’ll change it]
. What do you enjoy doing?
Well, I spend most of my time training or working. My job tends to consume my life sometimes, but I wouldn’t want it any other way. Its my duty to protect the people.
. What made you want to join the SEG?
I didn’t have much of a choice really, not with my past. It was that or try to go back home after everything that happened to me in the labs, and that would have been impossible. I didn’t care for it at first, but about a month after starting my on the job training I was assigned to a case with a gruesome murder. We never found the Shifter who did it, but it kind of fueled the fire.
. Can you tell me a little about your past?
I’d rather not. The past can’t change the present or the future.
. What event in your past most created who you are today?
I think it would be between my time in the lab and seeing that murder for the first time. Both times something just clicked, and I changed a little.
. So what about your family?
I don’t have one. The SEG is my family.
. What do you enjoy doing besides working?
I guess reading. That’s what I do when I’m off the job and can’t train.
. Do you have any favorite books?
Not really, I like action and mysteries. Anything like that and I’m hooked.
. So how is your social life? Do you have any friends or lovers?
No, friends and boyfriends would get in the way of my career. My social life is non-existent at best.
. Who do you care about most in the world?
I care about the people of Cambria who have to share the streets with those filthy Shifters.
. Do you care about anyone in particular?
Not that I can think of.
. What kinds of foods do you like?
I eat a lot of meats, and grains.
. How often do you train?
If I’m not on a job, or sleeping, I’m more than likely training.
. How many different martial arts do you know?
I have a black belt in 12 and a brown belt in 3.
. What would you do if I said I was a Shifter?
Why, are you?
. No. Do you believe me?
Of course I don’t.
. What if I told you a little girl was a Shifter?
You say little girl like it changes something. That little girl will grow up and spawn another generation of Shifters. I stop it at the source, even if the source is a two year old blond with innocent blue eyes. The only good Shifters are either in cages or coffins.
. Does that include the Shifters who work for the SEG?
You can’t trust any Shifter, no matter where it claims it loyalty lies. SEG Shifters are just as bad as Street Shifters, until they become selfless enough to give up their so called ‘abilities’ and join us humans. Cambria is a human world now. Shifters need to get over themselves and except that as long as they can shift they are no more than rapid dogs. ~WC~567~
History --Rai doesn’t remember much of her past, and if asked about anything before she joined the Shape shifter Extermination Group, she’ll usually become very defensive and elusive. Even when asking about her past in the SEG you hardly get more than a shrug from her, though you can sometimes get bare facts if she either likes you – which is highly unlikely – she trusts you – impossible – or you press her enough. If she’s not in the mood to be pressed though, she can snap pretty easily, and Sammi is dangerous when she’s mad.
Though she would never admit it, Rai was once a Shifter. Having one human parent, she was frail as a child, and had a couple of issues within her mind. Shifting for her came extremely hard, and took much more of a physical toll on her than on most shifters, which built up her stamina if nothing else. She also had a heavy does of Bipolar to add to her frailty, and was easily depressed and even easier to anger. Being the only shifter among her siblings, her frailty was a novelty the others enjoyed to frequently abuse, often teasing her for her inability to join them in physical activities. Her own mother turned her back on her, rarely speaking to her and never in anything more than an annoyed tone. Her father was disappointed in her lack of shifting ability. He had always hoped for a child who was an exceptional shifter, someone he could coach and mentor. He was extremely upset with her physical frailty, and frequently took it out on her. To make up for her lack of physical genius, Samantha threw herself against her school work, making grades many people would envy. Through school she was highly unpopular, and any friends she did have turned on her within her elementary years. By middle school she was suspicious, and a strong outcast. To be caught looking at her would get you teased. Angered by her lack of friends – in both her home and her school – she turned to offense. Though she was weak, when angered she was a powerful foe. She started to wage war against the other students, and though she lost the fights too many times to count, people became scared of her.
Eventually media attention turned to her, and the SEG with them. She began to rebel at home and in public – as well as in school. Even with her aggression, her grades remained high. She got kicked out of school after school for fighting, and when she got tired of loosing began using knives to put her and her opponent on equal grounds. The SEG caught up with her, unsure if she was shifter or human, but determined to rid the streets of her regardless. Finding her of shifter blood they tossed her into the labs for testing.
For a year she remained in a cell, slowly coming into a more civilized state. When the SEG found a cure for the shifters gift, she was one of the first they offered it to. She hardly paused before accepting, knowing that what they offered was more than just an escape from the labs - it was also a contract of loyalty to the extermination of every shifter on Cambria. There was determination in her eyes when she accepted the task. She had seen what she could do first hand, and that was with only have the strength a normal shifter had. If she could do that amount of damage as weak as she was, a full shifter could do terrifying things, things she couldn’t allow to happen.
The operation went smoothly, as if her body wanted to be human as much as her mind. She went into the labs a captured shape shifter condemned to suffer for her past. She walked out a human ready to destroy any Shifter that opposed the SEG.
For a year she trained in harsh physical and mental conditions, slowly training her body to become more of a machine. Fighting became instinct, running a taboo. Her strength, endurance, and reflexes increased dramatically, and finally she was no longer the weak sickly child of her past. She was a monster in field work. She saw every shifter as a shifter, age didn’t matter in the least. Shifter after Shifter died under her blade or gun, and still her bloodlust wasn’t satisfied. She promised herself she would kill or capture every shifter who brushed reality with her. Eventually, do to her fast reflexes and quick thinking, she increased in ranking until she became a captain.
.RP Example.
Rai would like to point out that there is no way in Hades that I am going to write a sample.
